San Diego is a wonderful place for a vacation. It is one of my favorite places to visit. It has fantastic weather, lots of interesting places to visit, a rich history, and lots of beach attractions. It is also on the border with Mexico which makes for a great day out. As well as lots of outdoor attractions there is also lots of shopping opportunities along with great bars and restaurants.
Two world famous attractions are the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. The zoo has many attractions with opportunities to see some rare animals. Sea World is ideal for children and includes lots of exciting rides and extravagant aquatic shows. Both these attractions can take a whole day to discover. Another wildlife oriented attraction is the San Diego Wild Animal Park where you can view many exotic animals.
For some of the premier dining in the area visit the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego. There are many dining options as well as great shopping and other entertainment options. This is a historic area that you can roam around in and well worth a visit.
Balboa Park is one of the main cultural centers in San Diego. There are many museums to visit along with many other cultural and art centers. Balboa Park is also home of the San Diego Zoo. Nearby is the birthplace of California – Old Town.
For beach lovers – well what can you say? There are miles and miles of fabulous beaches. Visit the island of Coronado home to one of the oldest and most famous hotels the Del or Hotel Del Coronado. The beach here is one of the best in the country.
San Diego is known as “America’s Finest City.” And rightly so. There are so many thing to see and do – for people of all age groups. And the perfect weather make it just so much more special.

The temptation is always strong to put off buying insurance. Few people want to fork over monthly premiums for something that they hope they will never have to use. The North and South rims of the Grand Canyon are by far the most visited portions of the Canyon. Even though they provide phenomenal views, there are some, more remote, areas that are even more remarkable. One such area is Havasupai.
Havasupai is located near the South rim of the canyon. To reach it you first have to drive several miles through the forest to reach the trailhead. It is then an 8 mile high to the Village of Supai and another 2 miles to the campground after that.
The village itself is home to nearly 500 residents. It’s people have lived there for almost a thousand years and it is the last location to still receive their mail via pack mule. There is a small motel; however most visitors choose to stay at the campground, which is located right on the water.
One of the most incredible things that you will see on your trip is Havasupai Falls. It is one of several waterfalls in the area; including Navajo Falls, Mooney Falls, and Beaver Falls. Each are several hundred feet tall and sparkle with the most amazing blue green water.
The journey to Havasupai isn’t an easy one, but it is definitely on the best Grand Canyon vacations you can take.

Washington DC can be a tough place to walk for visitors, mainly because the distances are greater than they first appear. Even the excellent Metro system leaves gaps, for instance, you can’t ride the subway into Georgetown. However, for visitors who like to stay in shape and get exercise, then try the Bike and Roll , which organizes cycle tours through the city’s neighborhoods. One of the current exhibits is, ‘Losing Paradise: Endangered Plants Here and Around the World’. It runs until December 12, 2010 at the National Museum of American History . Or, see the ‘Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection’, which exhibits the jewelry worn by the former US Secretary of State. It runs until October 17, 2010, at the Smithsonian’s Castle.
If museums aren’t on the itinerary, then check out cutting-edge fashion located at U Street Corridor, where visitors will find boutiques such as Muleh for women’s clothing, furniture and home accessories, or Nana for vintage clothing and denim.
Montreal has become a Canadian mecca for foodies. Recently voted the 2nd best dining city in North America, Montreal beat out perennial favorite New York. Offering everything from fast food and diners to haute cuisine in five star restaurants, the city is known for a wide range of ethnic influences and local specialties. Travelers will want to step outside their luxury hotel in Montreal and explore the culinary paradise that awaits.
Anyone wanting to truly eat like a local will have to try Montreal poutine . This dish features french fries smothered in gravy and topped off with curds of white cheddar cheese. The name is believed to come from a French word which means mess. There are countless variations on the basic recipes. Some versions of poutine add beef, sausage, vegetables or chicken while others substitute tomato sauce for the gravy to create poutine italienne. Ask several residents where to get the best poutine and you’ll get conflicting answers as everyone has their own favorite.
Other local specialties include split pea soup, small, crusty bagels, and giant beef brisket sandwiches. You may also want to try an “all-dressed” pizza which consists of pepperoni, green peppers, and mushrooms or the local favorite of spaghetti with smoked meat.

For the most part, there is no place more welcoming than Sydney. While many people may picture Australia as a place where everyone speaks with heavy Aussie accents and has wit that could cut diamonds, this is a little intimidating, and the truth is that you are not likely to be cut down just for being from out of the country. What is better is that the country itself is beautiful and the seasons are the other way around from those people in the Northern Hemisphere, so when it is winter here, it is summer down there.
One thing you have to check out is Sydney Olympic Park , there is nothing like it. Because it was built for the Olympic games, it is surrounded by Sydney hotels . This one area has everything you could want to do, even if you brought your kids along as well. There are cycling/walking paths, playgrounds, facilitates for exercising or playing in pools. If you are interested in walking around in nature, there are some beautiful parks and some great places for bird watching. If none of that interests you, there are tons of beautiful and fun places around town other than that.

Today Hong Kong is a massive modern cit filled with many shining sky scrapers towering over the bay. It is hard to imagine what it was like when the first settlers of the are saw when they arrived. This city has really changed over the thousands of years of transitions it has endured.
The is one thing you can count on when visiting Hong Kong and that is its strong preservation of tradition. Mixed in with all of the modern day life and structures are so many amazing historical, traditional structures and life. While staying at a hong kong hotel (like the ones found here), you may be right next door to a historical treasured landmark.
Get out into the harbor for a boat ride on the Duk Ling which is a wonderful old junk boat that is a classic image of the historical boats built here a hundred and fifty years ago. This is what the original traders would sail into the harbor with barring goods of all kinds.
The name Duk Ling means, clever duck, in Chinese. The Duk Ling is famous in the Hong Kong harbor and she offers great cruises day or night. She will take you to Lamma Island for a nice seafood dinner Chinese style. You will enjoy the evening sunset cruise as the sails light up with its auburn hew and the city softens with the colorful sky. A great time for a nice cocktail or glass of champagne.

Of course one of the most popular thing for tourists to do in San Diego is to visit Sea World, and that is a fantastic experience. And while that is true, it is also true that the city offers a great deal more than beach fun and marine park excitement, though don’t think for a second the statement is intended to mitigate the quality and thrill of these experiences. However, in addition to all of that, San Diego also has a thriving theatre scene and a strong cultural atmosphere with great museums , fabulous shopping and great dining options. And theatre is not the only entertainment option, there is great music, dance and other performance art venues.
And the music scene in the city varies from great local musicians playing in night clubs and bars to major concert venues like the Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre that host acts like the upcoming Elton John performance. The San Diego Symphony is another great establishment in the city. In addition to the beautiful classical music it presents throughout its season, the company also offers a variety of music genre special engagement performances. It is one of the most diverse symphonies in the country and it is extremely popular with the guests in one of the best San Diego hotels .
It’s an interesting phenomenon where artists have to be bi-coastal in order to make the kind of living they want. It happens very frequently in nearly every art form, but actors and musicians are the most famous for having to travel between the coasts for various projects. Typically, the cities are Los Angeles and New York, but with cultural works that are starting to defy the centers, there are more links between cities than ever before. Sometimes unmasking the mysterious can be an act of magic in itself.
